New run of our MOOC about Multibody Dynamics

We are pleased to inform you that the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Multibody Dynamics developed by the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) and Polytechnique Montréal has been released for a new run.

As last year, the course is now divided into two parts. The first one is about tree-like multibody systems and the second about constrained multibody systems. The two parts are gathered into a Professional Certificate, issued upon successful completion of both of them. This certificate is internationally recognized and can help you to drive your career forward.

The basics of Newtonian mechanics and the main concepts of linear algebra are essential prerequisites for this course.

To allow the study of realistic multibody systems, and thus of a certain complexity, the course is based on the multibody software ROBOTRAN (developed at UCLouvain), which is free to use within the framework of the MOOC. This software allows you to remotely generate the symbolic equations of motion of the system studied.

Both courses started on September 18th, 2023. They will end on June 29th, 2024.

Don’t hesitate to spread this information to interested people around you.

Welcome to the field of multibody dynamics!
