Second edition of our online Multibody course is available

We are pleased to inform you that the Université catholique de Louvain and Polytechnique Montréal have developed a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Multibody Dynamics.

This course concerns the study of all poly-articulated mechanical systems, such as robots, vehicles, the human body, transmission mechanisms, etc., here denoted as multibody systems.

The basics of Newtonian mechanics and the main concepts of linear algebra are essential prerequisites for this course.

To allow the study of realistic multibody systems, and thus of a certain complexity, the course is based on the multibody software ROBOTRAN (developed at UCLouvain), which is free to use within the framework of the MOOC. This software allows you to remotely generate the symbolic equations of motion of the system studied.

The course starts on Monday, September 13th and ends on December 17th, and includes 6 modules. In paying a fee, the course allows you to access the certification track. The certificate issued upon successful completion is internationally recognized.

Don’t hesitate to spread this information to interested people around you.

Welcome to the field of multibody dynamics!
